Part-Time Development Assistant
Since its founding in 2010, the Jeremy Wilson Foundation (JWF) has been a critical resource for musicians and music industry professionals in Oregon and Clark County, Washington experiencing health-related crises. Through social services support and financial assistance grants, we provide the musician community with a safety net that is otherwise lacking in our society. Our work is fueled by a commitment to our local musician community and supported largely by individual donors and corporate sponsorships. We seek a part-time development assistant with a passion for music, donor engagement, event planning, and digital communications who can support our continued growth. The development assistant will be supervised by the JWF’s Executive Director and will work with our engaged Board of Directors and volunteer team.
A large portion of JWF fundraising activities is centered around concerts. These include intimate studio shows organized by JWF board and staff as well as large-scale events city-wide in which the JWF plays a partnering role. This is therefore an ideal position for someone who is interested in working alongside local musicians and other music industry professionals. We encourage you to learn more about the JWF at https://www.thejwf.org/ before applying.
Our expectation is for this assistant to work an average of 20 hours per week, with some weeks requiring more or fewer hours depending on our events calendar. This is a remote work position that requires occasional in-person event support in the Portland-metro area. The JWF maintains a studio in Southeast Portland that the development assistant could use as a workspace, on occasion, if desired.
Job duties will vary throughout the year and will include:
planning and executing individual donor campaigns via email and social media
