Every year, musicians gather in pick-up bands or in their regular ensembles to perform their favorite songs of the ‘80s – when MTV was soaring, there was no such thing as too much, and some of pop’s most enduring hits came out of everybody’s radio.
Cover Your Hearts is a total indulgence in the most popular music of the ‘80s – a time to sing along, to reminisce and to bask in the friendship and quirkiness of Portland’s music scene.
We all benefit from a strong music community
The truth is, we ALL benefit from the strength of our music community. Despite the hardships faced by Portland in recent years, music will be a huge contributor to our city's rebirth. Unlike our roses and amazing restaurants, our city's music can easily and instantly travel around the country and the globe, making it one of the greatest possible ambassadors of Portland's enduring contributions to the arts.

Knot Springs announces 2023 Summer Concert Series
Knot Springs, Portland’s wellness social club, today announces its Summer Concert Series featuring intimate performances from Portland’s THREEDOM, Isabeau Waia’u Walker, Alexis Mahler, AC Sapphire, and Greaterkind. Concerts take place on the Knot Springs patio every Thursday in August, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Duffy Bishop and Chris Carlson met in Seattle in 1983 and moved to Portland in 1994. They were welcomed by the city’s amazing Blues community, playing iconic venues such as The Dandelion Pub, Starry Night, Key Largo, Halibuts and the Alberta Rose Theatre. These rooms and their loyal fans nurtured artistic expression and created one of the most vital music scenes in the country. Duffy and Chris remain Northwest favorites, creating music and happy audiences.

Chelsea Luker and Dan Duval have been on the region’s music scene for twenty years. They have performed with many groups playing jazz, classical, funk and soul. Chelsea is a saxophonist, flutist and vocalist who dabbles in guitar and keys. Dan is a guitarist and also plays keys and sings. The duo recently launched their newest endeavor, Moon Music. They call it lounge music from the future.
