George Harrison’s legacy of compassion
On Oct. 7 and 8, Mark Bowden and about 40 area musicians will recreate the iconic, Concert for Bangladesh and Concert for George at Revolution Hall. These major undertakings celebrate the music coming back to life after more than two years. They also will help support the musicians that add so much vitality to Portland’s culture.

Kate O’Brien was in high school when she first heard George Harrison’s masterpiece, All Things Must Pass. When she started listening to the songs in preparation for the Feb. 1 show of the same name at Revolution Hall, she realized, “These songs are in my bones,” and in the bones of most Americans of her generation.
