Singer-songwriter Jeremy Wilson founded the JWF in June of 2010 as a result of his personal experiences after being diagnosed with a serious congenital heart condition called Wolf-Parkinson-White.  Jeremy learned “his education by fire” about the need for adequate healthcare as a lifelong working musician. The harsh reality of being an independent contractor trying to navigate the healthcare industry when he was sick and in need, juxtaposed by a great outpouring of goodwill he experienced from the many friends, fans and family that helped him through four heart surgeries. Jeremy formed the JWF so that fellow musicians and the members of the communities that love them, could have a way to work together to assist individual musicians and their families during medical crisis.
