A message from Decemberist Chris Funk

If you’re reading this, you probably know a little bit about the good work the Jeremy Wilson Foundation does in our community. Over the past 13 years, the JWF has helped more than 400 musicians and their families to navigate medical and health related crises. That number includes my family.

In 2020, when someone in my immediate family was diagnosed with cancer, the JWF helped to secure the vital funds needed to get us through two years of ongoing treatment. They also helped us navigate the complex landscape that is the health insurance world and our medical system. Now I donate to the JWF to help ensure that any musician in Oregon or SW Washington has access to emergency grants and health service navigation if they need it.

The music industry doesn’t provide us with much of a safety net, which means it’s up to our community to support each other. I hope you’ll join me in investing in the health and wellbeing of our community by making a donation to the JWF today

With Gratitude,
Chris Funk

P.S. GivingTuesday is a movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity around the world. GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Your support fuels the JWF’s mission to create a safety net for your beloved regional musicians and their families when they experience medical challenges. Please consider making a donation to today!
